Celebrity Spotting

I usually do not work on Sundays, but i decided to help someone out and pick a shift up tonight. It started out as a VERY slow and boring night. There was not a lot going on in the restaurant. As it got later on in the night, I glanced towards the restaurant lobby and noticed two guys walking in that looked very familiar. I kept staring at them trying to figure out where I knew them from. As I was staring, I heard a bunch of giggles and whispers coming from a nearby table. The table was giggling and staring at the same guys that I was looking at. I could hear them saying things like.. "I can't believe that is him!" "This is so exciting!" "A celebrity in Utah!"

As I was still trying to figure out who it was, the hostess begins to walk the two guys to a table. She heads over towards where I was standing, and as they got closer, I realized why the guys looked so familiar... it was Nick Lachey and his body guard... and they were being seated at my table!



So I got to wait on Nick Lachey tonight. It was kind of exciting! We get famous faces inside the restaurant a lot, like local celebrities, NBA stars, and recently we have seen a lot of the cast from High School Musical (Zac Efron came in not too long ago and crazy girls were going nuts! Then Vanessa Hudgens was in not too long after that and just listening to how stupid her and her friends sounded when they were talking made me wanna throw up!). A lot of the celebrities I have seen keep to themselves (except for Kobe Bryant who has tried to hit on almost every female on our staff! ). Nick Lachey was actually very nice and friendly. He was making jokes to me about the alcohol content in Utah, asking for recommendations of stuff to do, and just chit chatting. It was a fun table. I tried to act all cool about it like I didn't know who he was.



When they were done they let me and a girl I work with take a picture with them. It is actually against the rules at my work for us to bother anyone famous for a picture or an autograph... but we figured we would be sneaky and break the rules this once :) I look all nasty in the picture from being at work, but at least it is proof that I got to meet someone famous!
