Twilight

So I don't care what anyone else says... I really enjoyed the movie. The books are better, but the movie was still good. I am excited to see the rest!

Update!

Its been about a month since I have posted... so here is an update of everything that has been going on...

My dog had her puppies and we have now gotten rid of all but 2 of them. They were so stinkin cute and I wanted to keep them all, but it was making life a little crazy with all of those dogs!

I recently moved into a new apartment that I absolutely love! It is a small one bedroom that is right downtown. It takes me 5 minutes to get to work. I live next door to a very good friend of mine, so its almost like having a roommate.

I am in Management training at work. It is a seven week process. I have to spend the first four weeks training in the kitchen. I have to learn how to cook and do everything back there. I am not one to cook much, so it is kinda cool to learn some cooking techniques. I am really excited for the four weeks to be over so that I don't have to wear the dorky kitchen uniform anymore! After the four weeks in the kitchen I have to spend three weeks training in the front and then I am officially a manager. I am excited to not be serving tables anymore... as fun as that was for awhile, its nice to move on to something else.

Other than that, nothing else is really going on with me. I did recently make the change back to a brunette... I don't think I believe the saying that blondes have more fun...

THE PUPPIES ARE HERE!

Yay! My dog finally had her puppies! She was at risk for a c-section, which I was so worried about, but she was able to do it naturally!

She had her first puppy around noon yesterday, and the last at 2:00am! I am so amazed at my dog! She was in labor for 14 hours! what amazes me more is that she had 10 puppies! 10! For her being such a small dog, 10 puppies seems like so much to have in her belly! Unfortunately two of the pups were stillborn, but the other eight are alive and well. The vet had told me that there would be at the most eight puppies in her tummy, so I was SO shocked when she had the extra two! She had six healthy puppies, and then the seventh and eighth were both stillborn. I figured she was done after that, and was shocked to check on her in the middle of the night and find that she was not finished popping the puppies out!


I am so happy that everything went so well. I am anxious to see how the puppies look and act as they start to grow in the next couple of weeks. If anyone is interested in a puppy... let me know!

The Tea Room

I went to the cutest little place the other day! There is this little restaurant called The Tea Room that is located right downtown Salt Lake City. They serve a VERY large variety of teas and then a small food selection... like sandwiches and salads. The place almost looks like someones house and is divided up into little areas. It almost made me feel like I was at my grandmothers house. It was very cozy. All of the furniture was antique and there were also antique collectibles everywhere.

We sat around a little table, had tea brought out to us on cute little trays in antique tea pots. It was like a grown up tea party! I had so much fun! I went with two of my very closest friends Dana and Heather. Dana moved to Hawaii this week so it was the last time that we got together before she left. If you are ever looking for a great place to get together with good friends and chit chat... I totally recommend the Tea Room!

Prego Puppy

So my beloved miniature pinscher Mona is pregnant. I did not plan on her getting pregnant, it just kind of happened... My parents Rottweiler pretty much raped her and bam... now we are having puppies. The two dogs actually got stuck together... it was a very unpleasant sight. I won't go into too many details, but I am sure you can imagine what it would be like to see a Rottweiler and a Miniature Pinscher trying to "get together". We found them outside stuck, and had to help them get un stuck. In was a very strange situation.

So I took her to the vet the other day. The did an ultra sound on her, it was kinda cool to watch. You could see the little puppies balled up in her tummy and their little hearts beating. The vet thinks she has about 6 puppies in her belly. Because Mona is so small, and was impregnated by a large breed dog, she is at risk for having a c-section. I never realized that dogs had c-sections! This whole situation is so weird to me!

Dogs are pregnant for around 65 days, and Mona is about 45 days along, so it won't be too much longer until the puppies are here! I am kind of excited to see what the puppies will look like. It seems like such an odd mix of breeds, but maybe they will end up being very cute dogs! If anyone is looking for a dog, let me know!

NKOTB FOREVER!

So I might seem like a total dork for saying this, but I totally want to go see New Kids On The Block in concert! They are coming to Salt Lake in November and I really think it would be so fun to see them! I used to love them so much when I was little and I think it is so crazy funny that they are doing a reunion tour! This is their new song, the video makes me giggle. I love it!
